2019 Ford F-Series Trucks: Built for Fun, Family, and Life

Ford is the second-largest U.S. based automaker in the world with a variety of 2019 trucks to choose from. Whether someone has a business that requires strength and durability or a growing family that requires safety and dependability, there is a Ford pickup for almost every need.

Ford has been manufacturing and marketing the F-Series pickup trucks since 1948. The F-Series is a range of light, medium, and super-duty trucks from full-size pickups to commercial and chassis cab trucks.

F150 XL and XLT

The F150 XL and XLT both come standard with the 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 engine. Ti-VCT means twin independent variable camshaft timing, which maximizes performance to achieve the best possible fuel economy. It provides 290 horsepower with 265 pound-feet of toque. All in all, a powerful truck that is easy on gas mileage.

The F150 XL’s EPA estimated gas mileage is 20/26 city/highway. The 4 x 2 comes standard with a fully boxed frame, independent front suspension, and trailer sway control. It is equipped with a 23-gallon fuel tank and a 6-speed transmission with tow/haul mode and sport mode. Also standard is an AM/FM stereo radio. Halogen headlamps light up the night and the easy gauge cap less fuel filler is easy and convenient.

The optional 4 x 4 XL comes with the 2.7 or 3.5 liter V6 Ecoboost or the 5.0 Ti-VCT V8 engine with a 36-gallon fuel tank and electronic 10-speed transmission. Other optional features for the XL 4 x 2 and 4 x 4 include SiriusXM satellite radio. Sync©, Sync©3, or Sync© with AppLink; all great options to consider. The voice activation control through Sync© makes it convenient and safer to make calls and listen to music. These are just a few of the great features to enjoy with Sync©.

Next on the list is the F150 XLT. The price range for this Ford pickup truck starts at $34,160. The EPA estimated city/highway mileage is 20/26. Like the XL, it has a fully boxed frame, independent front suspension, trailer sway control, and a 23-gallon fuel tank. Also standard is the electronic 6-speed transmission with tow/haul, EcoSelect, snow/wet, and sport mode.

Standard interior features include AM/FM, Sync©, Sync© with AppLink and cruise control. A 2.3-inch screen allows people to see what is playing on the radio or to easily maneuver through the trucks various settings. The MyKey feature allows people to personalize their Ford truck to keep teen drivers safe. It allows parents to limit speed and audio volume. Power door locks with flip key and integrated key transmitter keyless entry including auto lock are also standard. Fog lamps and Halogen headlamps also come standard on the XLT.

Other options to consider for this truck are SiriusXM, Sync©3, Sync© Connect, with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link. A drop-in bed liner, stowable loading ramps and trailer tow power adjust side mirrors are great options to choose from. The optional 4 x 4 comes with trailer brake control, hill descent control and electronic-locking rear differential.

F150 Lariat

The F150 Lariat is next in the line of F-Series Ford trucks. Pricing starts at $41,700. It has an EPA estimated mileage of 20/26, city/highway, improving about a mile for city driving from the 2017 model. The standard 4 x 2 has independent front suspension and trailer sway control. It has a 10-speed transmission that includes, but is not limited to, tow/haul mode and sport mode.

This persuasive truck is powered by a 2.7 liter V6 Ecoboost engine and has a 23-gallon fuel tank. Standard interior features are SiriusXM Satellite radio, Sync©3 and Sync© with AppLink, and automatic temperature control. An 8-inch screen, dynamic hitch assist, cruise control, and MyKey also come standard.

There are many optional features to choose from for the Lariat. They include quad beam LED headlamps and tail lamps. The optional 4 x 4 comes with hill descent control, trailer brake controller and electronic-locking rear differential. The 3.5 liter V6 Ecoboost or the powerful 5.0 liter Ti-VCT 8 cylinder are two options available with the Lariat. An alternative 36-gallon fuel tank is also available.

F150 King Ranch

Lastly here, but certainly not least in, is the King Ranch. Starting at $52,390, this truck has an EPA estimated city/highway mileage of 18/25, up a few miles in both city and highway from previous years. Standard features on the 4 x 2 include independent front suspension, fully boxed frame, front coil springs, and two stage variable rate rear leaf springs. Trailer brake control and trailer sway control also come standard.

This mighty truck boasts a powerful 5.0 liter Ti-VCT V8 engine with a 26-gallon fuel tank for the SuperCrew option©. Electronic 10-speed transmission with four different modes is also standard.

For comfort, the heated, leather-trim front seats have a 10-way power driver with driver memory. Also included is temperature control, an 8-inch screen, MyKey, and cruise control, among many others. Notable with the King Ranch are the heated side mirrors, LED mirror-mounted spotlights, and step bars—all standard. As with other trucks in this series, SiriusXM Radio and other entertainment features are standard.
